A well known Prairie du Chien businessman, Brady A. Powers, age 46 passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family, following a courageous battle with cancer.  He was born April 21, 1971 in Elkader, IA the son of James and Shila (Barbour) Powers.  He married Jean Eastman on February 28, 1991 in Prairie du Chien.  Together they owned and operated Construction Specialists for the past 19 years. Brady and Jean also co-owned Leisure Time Bowl Sports Bar and Bowl in Prairie du Chien.  He was an avid Green Bay Packer and Iowa Hawkeye Fan and enjoyed bowling, golf, playing pool and plowing snow.  The true joy of Brady’s life was spending time with his family and friends.  He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Jean of Prairie du Chien, his children, Jennifer Gates, Britany Powers and Brady Powers all of Prairie du Chien, his parents, Jim and Shila Powers, brothers, Brian, Jeremy (Tina) and Adam Powers, sisters Yvette Burrows and Eve Powers, grandmother, Anna Mae Powers of Elkader, his grandchildren Makenzie, Hailee, Channing and Connor, his adopted brother Michael Powers, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Maurice Powers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Gabriel’s Church of the Holy Family Parish, Rev. James Weighner officiating, with burial in the Calvary Cemetery both in Prairie du Chien.  Friends may call on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of departure for the church at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien.
