Carol A. King age 68 of Prairie du Chien passed away Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital.  She was born November 17, 1944 the daughter of Austin and Eunice (Heins) Newcomb.  She grew up on the family dairy farm and later worked for 3M Company in Prairie du Chien.  She is survived by her children, Scott (Kit) Lessard of Prairie du Chien, Tim (Shirley) Lessard of Dubuque, IA, Tina (Mark) Fox of Prairie du Chien and Tia Marshall of LaCrosse, WI, her brothers, Jerry and Mike both of Postville, IA, her sisters, Linda of Waterville, IA, Gloria of Waukon and Amelia of Dubuque, IA, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 7:00 PM at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel in Prairie du Chien.  A private family inurnment will be at a later date.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 from 4:00 PM until the time of services.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
