John D. Hendrickson age 74 of Prairie du Chien passed away Monday, May 8, 2017 at the Gundersen Lutheran Health Center in LaCrosse, WI.  He was born May 3, 1943 in Cedar falls, IA the son of Donald and Helen (Miller) Hendrickson.  John worked most of his life as an over-the-road truck driver for various companies including; Fleming, Gateway and most recently Walmart.  He was a member of the Eagles Club Aerie 1502.  He is survived by his children, Michael (Tina) of Prairie du Chien, Gary of Sherman, TX and Jill (Paul) Elfgren of Kansas City, KS, his brother, Steve of Marshalltown, IA and sister in law Mary Hendrickson of Sherman, TX, along with his grandchildren Alec and Taylor.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Anthony.

A memorial visitation will be Friday, May 12, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien, WI.  A private family inurnment will be later.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Diabetes Assn. www.garrityfuneralhome.com
