Kathy J. (Kramer) Hawes

Kathy J. Hawes age 74 of Prairie du Chien passed away Monday January 20, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born November 17, 1945 in Prairie du Chien, WI the daughter of Donald and Wilma (Yonke) Kramer.  She married Daniel Hawes on November 16, 1968 at Immaculate Conception Church in Wexford, IA.  Kathy was hardworking, loved craft fairs, gardening, interior decorating, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.  She retired from Prairie Industries 2 years ago. She is survived by her sons, David (Resa) of Holmen, WI, Terry (Robin) of Reedsburg, WI and Shawn (Emily) of Prairie du Chien, her sisters, Marla Hackett of Prairie du Chien, WI, Gail (Ron) Briscke of Sun City West, AZ, her brother, John (Cheryl) Kramer of Eastman, WI, her grandchildren, Brittany, Jared, Tasha, Autumn, Ava, Bryanna, Jake, Steven, Logan, her great grandchildren, Natalie, Declan, and Raleigh.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, an infant sibling, and a brother-in-law John Hackett.

A Memorial Service will be Monday, January 27, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel, Deacon Mark Grunwald officiating.  A private family interment will be in the National Cemetery in Eastman, WI.  Friends may call at the Garrity Funeral Home on Monday from 11:00 AM until the time of the Service.
