I remember waiting on Lefty and Dirk at the Country Kitchen in the 70's. They were having breakfast before they went off to work. I always had so much respect for him. He was so kind whenever I saw him through the years as we both grew older. There will never be another. I am so sorry Dirk and family.

My condolences to the whole Steiner family. I met "Lefty" while visiting my cousin Dorthea Koenig in Prairie du Chien. I remember him as a man who was always kind even to people he didn't know. May His soul rest in peace,, and Perpetual Light shine upon him always.
