Lula Belle R. Dalton age 81 of Prairie du Chien and formerly of Seneca passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Crossing Rivers Hospital after a brief illness.  She was born September 12, 1935 in Gays Mills, WI the daughter of James and Dorothy (Callaway) Coleman.  She married Howard Dalton on September 4, 1954 in Madison, WI.  Together they farmed for many years in the Seneca area.  Lula Belle worked as a housekeeper and later as a cook for the Boscobel Care Center in Boscobel, WI.  She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Howard of Prairie du Chien, her children, William Dalton of Gays Mills, Ralph (Lori) Dalton of Seneca, Randy (Heidi) Dalton of Prairie du Chien, Janice Fradette of Genoa, WI and Dan (Cassidy) Dalton of Baraboo, WI, her sister Mary Lou Sutherland of Winslow, IL, 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter in law Mary Dalton, her brothers, Carl, Ted and Don Coleman, her sisters, Juanita Dobbs and Melinda Coleman.

Funeral services will be held graveside on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Gays Mills Cemetery in Gays Mills, WI with Rev. Lynn Schreck officiating.  Family will also be gathering at the cemetery on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 12:00 Noon for a brief memorial service, with a luncheon to follow.
