I remember Lyle as a soft-spoken, but always kind and gentle man who willingly played a quiet and supportive role to his loving spouse (Roberta). Together they raised a family of 5 children. He was loved by all and I remember fondly how he was admired by his father-in-law (Bob Gillitzer) for being an excellent and hard-working role model as he owned and operated a successful dairy farm in Bridgeport, near Prairie du Chien. As a child growing up, I remember going to Lyle and Roberta's for family gatherings and to play "farmer for a day". Writing these thoughts brings back many fond memories. He will be missed by all. R.I.P. Lyle and family.
