Margaret R. Steger age 67 of Prairie du Chien passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 at her home.  She was born March 22, 1950 in Prairie du Chien the daughter of Louis and Anita (Check) Steger.  Margaret was one of the first clients of the Opportunity Center in Prairie du Chien.  She enjoyed working at Kaber’s Restaurant and the Star Cinema.  She especially loved her annual week of camping at Badger Camp. She is survived by her father, Louis of Prairie du Chien, her siblings, Mary Jo (Steve) Johnsrude of Wauzeka, WI, Ed (Donna) of Prairie du Chien, Carol (Neal) Davis of Harpers Ferry, IA, Tim (Char) and Terry Steger both of Prairie du Chien, and Theresa (Dan) Brandes of Ferryville, WI, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother.

A Mass of Christian Burial will Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Gabriel’s Church of the Holy Family Parish, Rev. James Weighner officiating, with burial in the Calvary Cemetery both in Prairie du Chien.  Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the time of services.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Prairie Catholic Schools or the Opportunity Center.
