Marvis I. Emerson age 80 of LaCrosse passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Bethany St. Joseph Care in LaCrosse, WI.  She was born September 28, 1936 in DeSoto, WI the daughter of Ray and Almeda (Phillips) Grimm.  She married William Konichek on March 31, 1954.  He preceded her in death on December 2, 1972.  She later married Arlin Emerson on October 11, 1975 who also preceded Marvis in death on January 27, 2011.  She is survived by her sons, Richard Konichek of Missouri and James (Julia) Konichek of LaCrosse, WI, her grandchildren, Gabriel, William, Andrew and Jennifer, her great grandchildren, Kenra, Harper, Haley and Cotton Tewes, her sister Kathleen (John) Dean of Fergus Falls, MN, nieces, Laurie and Lisa along with a dear friend Darrell Bolstad of DeSoto.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, and a son Michael Konichek.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel, Reverend Barb Cook officiating with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery both in Prairie du Chien, WI.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
