Maxine M. Oswald age 87 of Wauzeka passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at her home.  She was born February 21, 1930 in Wauzeka the daughter of Jeremiah and Mabel (Geisler) Lathrop.  She married Duane Oswald on February 1, 1951.  Together they farmed and later owned and operated Ozzie’s Bar in Wauzeka. Duane preceded her in death on November 10, 2004.  Maxine also worked at Advance Transformer in Boscobel for several years until her retirement. She enjoyed camping and fishing up North as well as spending time with her family.  She is survived by her children, Diane Mullikin of Eastman, Karen (Brian) Dombeck, Debra Ward, and Cheryl (David) Slaght all of Wauzeka, David (Sue) Oswald of LaCrosse and a daughter in law Page Oswald of Wauzeka, 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, in laws, Robert (Doris) Oswald, Rita Oswald and Delores Oswald.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Dennis along with two sons in law, David Ward and Larry Mullikin, four sisters and a brother.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Century Hall in Wauzeka, WI with Rev. Lynn Schreck officiating, where friends may call from 11:30 AM until the time of services. A private family interment will be later in the Wauzeka Cemetery.
