Prairie du Chien, WI

Steven L. Valley age 68 of Prairie du Chien passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family following a brief illness.  He was born April 22, 1949 in Waukon, IA the son of Charles and Esther (Meskimen) Valley.  He married Karen Tippery on November 13, 1970 in Prairie du Chien.  Steve worked as a sales representative for Huebsch Chevrolet in Prairie du Chien for over 35 years.  He later owned and operated Blackhawk Auto Sales in Prairie du Chien.  He enjoyed plowing snow and auto racing.  He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Karen Valley of Prairie du Chien, his children Steve (Michelle) of Odenville, AL, Sheri Buening of Eau Claire, WI, Vicki (John) Mundt of Prairie du Chien and Ron (Corrie) of Castalia, IA, along with eight grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Evelyn and Judy.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Andy Doll officiating, with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery both in Prairie du Chien.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the time of services.
