Wayne M. Timion, 93 of Bagley, Wisconsin, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017 after a brief illness at Baptist Medical Center, Jacksonville Beach,   Florida

He was born at home on February 19, 1923 in Bremer County, Iowa, the son of Louis and Elsie (Martin) Timion.  He graduated from Janesville   Consolidated High School in 1941.   In November 1943 he joined the Navy and was honorably discharged in 1946.  He married Ruthe (Niswonger) Timion on February 24, 1947. 

He was a the superintendent of Glazing Operations and worked 27 years for Rock Island Glass in Rock Island, Illinois.  In 1976 he became the Business Representative for Glaziers Local 581 and retired in 1985 and moved to Bagley.

Wayne served as a deacon and elder of the Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church in Rock Island.  He was the true definition of the working man.  He was an accomplished carpenter and maker of stained glass.  He was an avid fisherman and loved to garden.  

He is survived by daughters Gail (Lawrence) Tucker St. Augustine, FL  and Sally (Ralph Lee) Masters of Atlantic Beach, FL, six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, a son and grandson.

Memorial services will be held graveside on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Bagley Cemetery with Pastor Pam Strakeljahn officiatiing.  A luncheon will follow at the Bagley Community Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Bagley First Responders, Crossing Rivers Hospice or Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church.
