Arleen E. (Nagle) Skaife

Arleen E. Skaife age 95 of Prairie du Chien passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the Prairie Maison Care Center. She was born January 7, 1923 in Millville, WI the daughter of Edward and Veva (Shackley) Nagle.  She married Walter Skaife on April 7, 1945 at St. Mary’s Church in LaCrosse, WI.  Together they farmed for many years in the Patch Grove area. Arleen was an active member of the United Methodist Church Women’s Circle.Walter preceded her in death on February 19, 2014.  She is survived by her children, Sherry Skaife of Rockford, IL, Robert (Laurine) Skaife of Prairie du Chien, Sheila (Charles) Bishell of Lancaster, WI and Mike (Coleen) Skaife of Prairie du Chien, her grandchildren, Steve, Doug and Andy Moore, Lesa Radloff, Kimberly Smith, Ryan Skaife and Traci Konichek along with 12 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and six brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be Monday, May 7, 2018 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church in Prairie du Chien, Pastor Barb Cook officiating, with burial in the Union Nagle Cemetery in Patch Grove, WI.  Friends may call on Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien and at the church on Monday from 9:30 AM until the time of services.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church or Crossing Rivers Hospice.
