Catherine S. (Michel) Copsey

Catherine S. Copsey age 91 of Prairie du Chien, WI passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at the Vernon Memorial Hospital.  She was born July 14, 1927 in Prairie du Chien, the daughter of Kilian and Sarah (Grover) Michel.  She married Milton Copsey on January 22, 1958 at St. Gabriel’s Church in Prairie du Chien. Catherine enjoyed gardening and raising small animals. Milton preceded her in death on July 31, 2011.  She is survived by her sons, Kenneth (Althea) and Michael (Ana) Copsey both of Prairie du Chien, her grandchildren, Dustin, Deanna, Hannah and Aiden along with a great granddaughter Shelly, a sister in law Alice Michel of Ferryville, WI.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter Cheri, a brother Horace and a sister Velma.

A memorial service will be Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel in Prairie du Chien, with Deacon Mark Grunwald officiating. Interment will be in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Seneca, WI. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:30 AM until the time of services.
