Darol M. “Rusty” Boldt age 89 of Prairie du Chien passed away surrounded by his family Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the Crossing Rivers Hospital in Prairie du Chien. He was born July 10, 1927 in Wyalusing Township the son of Harry and Mildred (Griest) Boldt. He married Dale McClure on February 16, 1952 at St. Gabriel’s Church in Prairie du Chien. Rusty worked as a Route Manager for F.W. Means in Prairie du Chien until his retirement. He enjoyed driving a school van for the Prairie du Chien School District after he retired. Dale preceded him in death on October 20, 2014. He is survived by four daughters; Kathy (Gary) Koch of Prairie du Chien, WI, Karen (Brad) Johnson of Mason City IA, Susan (Layne) David of Prairie du Chien, WI, and Nancy (Doug) Wiltsie of Mason City IA, four grandchildren; Anna, Paul, Emily and John. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his twin brother John, his sister Iva Anderson, brothers, Leland “Butch” and Earl Boldt.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, April 24, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Gabriel’s Church of the Holy Family Parish, Rev. James C. Weighner officiating with a private interment in the Calvary Cemetery both in Prairie du Chien. Friends may call on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien from 4:00PM to 7:00PM and also at the church on Monday, April 24, 2017 from 10:00 AM until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Crossing Rivers Hospice Program or ADRC’s Meals on Wheels.
