David F. Bohnenkamp age 67 of Lake View and formerly of Prairie du Chien passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at the Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham following an extended illness.  He was born November 13, 1949 the son of Vulmar and Doris (Felder) Bohnenkamp.  David worked at 3M Company in Prairie du Chien for many years until his retirement.  He loved the outdoors especially fishing.  David was always willing to lend a helping hand and was known for his generosity.  He is survived by his children Luke (Jennifer) of Lake View, AL, Carrie (Ryan) Casserly of Plainfield, IL, stepdaughter Janice Woof of Blair, WI, his mother Doris Bohnenkamp of Prairie du Chien, brothers, Don (Cathy) of Madison, WI, Tom (Donna) of Dickeyville, WI, Rob (Becky) of Prairie du Chien, his sisters, Diane (Steve) Henry of Hoisington, KS and Jane (Jim) Kramer of Prairie du Chien, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his father.

A visitation will be Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 pm at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel in Prairie du Chien.  A celebration of David’s Life will follow at The Blackhawk in Prairie du Chien.
