Elizabeth L. (Gibbs) "Betty" Eddy

Elizabeth L. “Betty” Eddy age 93 of Prairie du Chien passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at the Prairie Maison Care Center.  She was born on May 7, 1924 in Marion Township, the daughter of William and Florence (Syverson) Gibbs.  She married Emil Horton in 1942.  Together they farmed in the Fennimore area for many years.  He preceded her in death in 1972.  In 1981, Betty married Keith Kincannon, who later preceded her in death in 1999.  In 2001, Betty married LaVern Eddy, who also preceded her in death in 2005.  Betty enjoyed many hobbies including: crafts, dancing, playing bingo, playing cards, and fishing.  She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Barth of Springdale, AR, Sharon (David) Gritzmacher of Mazomanie, WI, and Nadine (Ted) Lee of Prairie du Chien, WI,  her sisters, Madonna (Darwin) Martin and Gloria (Richard) Butts both from Granton, WI, grandchildren: Beth Zwolanek, Amy Justeson, Jesse Foley, Joylin Buchannan, and Brandon Lee.  Ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.  She was preceded in death by, son in law: Gerald Barth,  her parents, brothers Royce, Dale, and Robert Gibbs, her sisters: Veronica Taylor, Velma Stenner, Bonnie McCartney, LaVon Gibbs, Verna Lloyd, Patricia McQueen, Peggy Pittenger,  grandaughter Deanna Ploof, and great grandaughter Kathy Ann Zwolanek.

A memorial service will be Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel in Prairie du Chien with Elder Nathan Glessen officiating.  Friends may call the funeral home from 9:00 AM until the time of services.
