Gene R. Thiede

Gene R. Thiede age 51 of Prairie du Chien passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 5, 2019 at his home following a brief illness.  He was born September 3, 1968 in Prairie du Chien the son of Roger and Norma (Mansfield) Thiede. Gene worked at the Opportunity Center in Prairie du Chien and was renown for his sense of humor. His favorite pastimes were listening to music and riding his bike.  He is survived by his daughter Aubrey Bennett, his siblings, Eric Thiede, Mona Thiede and Sharon (Randy) Addison.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Lance and his sisters, Sandy Lessard and Jo Ellen Michaud.

A memorial gathering will be Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 12:00 PM at the Rivercrest Villages in Prairie du Chien.    The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien is assisting the family.  www.garrityfuneralhome.com
