Gerald L. Falls

Gerald L. “Jerry” Falls age 85 of Prairie du Chien passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019 at the Gundersen Health System in LaCrosse, WI.  He was born November 30, 1933 in Fountain City, WI the son of Harvey and Pearl (Hertzfeldt) Falls.  He married Delores Evenson on August 18, 1957.  He served in the US Air Force.  He worked as a telephone lineman for General Telephone for over 30 years.  Jerry also worked at Wonder Wash in Prairie du Chien after his retirement from GTE.  He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and garden.  He was a longtime member of the Eagles Club Aerie 1502 and the VFW in Prairie du Chien. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Delores of Prairie du Chien, his son Keith (Karen) of Charlotte, NC, his brothers, Duane (Etta) of Nelson, WI and Richard (Marge) of Fountain City, WI, his sister Judy Brown of Granite City, IL, his grandchildren, Kirsten, Kiley and Kamden.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Marvin.   

A memorial gathering will be Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien where there will be an Eagles Club Tribute at 7:00 PM.  Interment with military honors will be later in the Fountain City Cemetery in Fountain City.
