Gerald L. Olsen age 56 of Prairie du Chien passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019 following an extended illness. He was born January 8, 1963 in Elkader, IA the son of Floyd and Pearl (Kellogg) Olsen. Gerald worked in construction and at several area taverns including the Schooner and the Circle Bar. He is survived by his children, Gerald Olsen Jr. of Potosi, WI and Tosha Olsen of Prairie du Chien, his brothers, Roger of LaCrescent, MN, Eugene of Oshkosh, WI, Gary of Onalaska, WI, Robert of Dubuque, IA and Eric of Sumner, IA, his sister, Peggy Dahl of LaCresent along with 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial gathering will be Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel in Prairie du Chien. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the family. www.garrityfuneralhome.com
