Christina and family- When taking rides with my parents, Harry and Josephine (Kirschbaum) Gordon, Patch Grove had many memories, for them, to tell me as we would pass through; "The Millin's (related) lived there," dad would say, as he pointed to the gray house on the corner. " Kitty corner from them was the grocery store." Mom would tell about the telephone office that she would go in to pay her monthly bill. There was also a gas station in Patch Grove.
This generation of people went through hard times. They knew so much, not through education, but rather through experience and hard work.
I had the opportunity of working with your mother at Piggly Wiggly (1972). She would show me pictures of family. She was dealing with your dad's complications at that time. She was fussy with her work. She had a beautiful head of hair. She loved to read. She was a good person and I feel honored that I had the privilege to work with her.
