Howard E. Dalton

Prairie du Chien / Seneca, WI

Howard E.Dalton age 87 of Prairie du Chien and formerly of Seneca passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018 after a brief illness.  He was born September 18, 1930 the son of Howard and Flossie (Nutter) Dalton. He married Lula Belle Coleman on September 4, 1954 in Madison, WI.  Together they farmed for many years in the Seneca area. Howard transported cattle throughout the United States and worked at various jobs around Gays Mills.  He loved to hunt and fish in the Kickapoo River Valley. Lula Belle preceded him in death on October 18, 2016. He is survived by his children, William Dalton of Gays Mills, Ralph (Lori) Dalton of Seneca, Randy (Heidi) Dalton of Prairie du Chien, Janice Fradette of Genoa, WI and Dan (Cassidy) Dalton of Baraboo, WI, his brother Harley of Boscobel, WI his sisters, Darlene (Wayne) Olson of Seneca and Dorothy Horan of Madison, WI, 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a daughter in law Mary Dalton, a brother Harlan, his sisters, Sharon Surovy and Virginia Burns.

Funeral services will be held graveside on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Gays Mills Cemetery in Gays Mills, WI with a luncheon to follow.  The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien is assisting the family.  www.garrityfuneralhome.com
