James A. “Jim” Schultz age 68 of Prairie du Chien passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at his home following an extended illness.  He was born April 24, 1949 in Galena, IL the son of Marvin and Helen (Rosenthal) Schultz. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.  He married Susan Mullikin on April 24, 2008 in Prairie du Chien.  Jim worked at Don’s Transmissions and Prairie Industries.  He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He is survived by his wife Susan of Prairie du Chien, his children, Kim (Shawn Lachman) Schultz of McGregor, IA, Jamie (Pam) Schultz and Eric (Jamie) Schultz both of Prairie du Chien,stepson, Justin Schmittler of Clinton, IA, son in law Chris Kessler of Garnavillo, IA, brother Marvin (Joann) of Scales Mound, IL, sisters, Sharon (Larry) Dahman and Debra (David) Walz both of Prairie du Chien, Corrine (Ted) Haas of Inver Grove Heights, MN, stepbrother, Donald Wall, stepsisters, Patricia Runde and Elizabeth Wubben, along with 13 grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his children, Kenneth Schultz and Stacy Kessler, his stepfather Francis Wall, a sister Darlene Koehler, and a brother Richard.

A memorial visitation will be Monday, September 25, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien.  A private family inurnment will be later in the Brodtville Cemetery.
