Jeannine I. (Larmore) Schreck

Jeannine I. Schreck age 85 of Prairie du Chien passed away unexpectedly in her home on Tuesday, July 23, 2019.  She was born April 8, 1934 in Seneca, WI the daughter of Jewel and Gertrude (Gonier) Larmore.  She married Charles “Pat” Schreck on June 30, 1952 in Seneca.  After marriage, they farmed in the Seneca area until 1976. After leaving the farm, they lived in Seneca for a short time. They then moved to Prairie du Chien. She was employed for several years by Community Action. She retired from Crawford County in 2000. She then worked part time for Prairie du Chien Housing, where she was the Executive Director. While living in the area she served on several volunteer boards, Domestic Abuse Council, Community Action Board of Directors, United Way Board, Opportunity Center Board, FEMA board, Futures Board. Jeannine requested her fourteen grandchildren be her honorary pallbearers. Pat preceded her in death on June 27, 2014.

Jeannine is survived by her daughters, Renee (Kent) Salmon of Ferryville, WI, Robin (Dennis) Boland of Reedsburg, WI, Susan Boland of Seneca, Lill Schreck of LaCrosse, WI and Ellie (Tom) Ray of Steuben, WI, 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son in law Dick Boland, her brother Norman and a sister Donna Larmore.

A Memorial Service will be Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 1:30 PM at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel with inurnment in the Evergreen Cemetery both in Prairie du Chien.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of services. www.garrityfuneralhome.com
