Jess F. Riness

Jess F. Riness age 89 of Prairie du Chien passed away Monday September 10, 2018 at the Crossing Rivers Hospital in Prairie du Chien.  He was born August 12, 1929 in Vassar, MI the son of Jess and Mary Grace (Valley) Riness.  Jess served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict.  He married Hazel Ronkoski on June 15, 1963.  He worked at National Decorated Metals and later retired from 3M Company in Prairie du Chien.  Jess also did some construction work over the years.  He is survived by his daughter Sharon Riness of Prairie du Chien and his brother Jerry (Sharon) Riness of Viroqua, WI.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Hazel and his brothers, Richard and Jack Riness.

Funeral services will be Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery both in Prairie du Chien.  Military honors will be accorded by the Prairie du Chien Honor Guard.  Friends may call on Thursday at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of services. www.garrityfuneralhome.com
