Julia G. Lansing age 80 of Mt. Hope passed away Friday, June 30, 2017 at the Mercy Hospital in Dubuque, IA following a brief illness.  She was born May 8, 1937 in Mt. Hope, the daughter of George and Dolores (Hanson) Lansing.  Julia worked in the family business, the Lansing Store and Locker in Mt. Hope her entire life.  She is survived by her sister Orlean Weber of Dubuque, IA.  She was preceded in death by her parents.  According to Julia’s wishes there will be no formal funeral services.  A private family interment will be in the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Cemetery in Ossian, IA.
