LaVonne E. (Ames) "Bonnie" Hines

Prairie du Chien, WI

LaVonne E. “Bonnie” Hines age 82 of Prairie du Chien passed away unexpectedly Sunday, September 9, 2018 at the Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster, WI.  She was born August 23, 1936 in McGregor, IA the daughter of Austin and Helen (Hoffman) Ames.  She married Marvin Hines on May 16, 1953 in Elkader, IA.  He preceded her in death on October 11, 1997.  She is survived by her son Allen (Pam) Hines of Watkins, IA, her daughter Vickie (John) Howe of Prairie du Chien, her brother David Ames of Milton, WI, her sisters, Audrey Bennett of Independence, IA, Darlene Moon of Monona, IA, Marilyn Havlik of Cedar Rapids, IA and Meredith Gentes of Prairie du Chien, brother in law Henry Benhart of Oelwein, IA, sister in law Delores Ames of Janesville, WI, grandchildren, Michele, Chris and Brian along with great grandchildren, Chase, Colton and Ethan.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers Clayton and Curtis Ames and sisters, Donna Mae and Diane Benhart. 

A Celebration of Bonnie’s Life will be at 10:00 AM at Huckleberry’s in Prairie du Chien with a reception to follow.  A private family interment will be later in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Oelwein, IA.  The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien is assisting the family.  www.garrityfuneralhome.com
