Prairie du Chien / Platteville, WI

MaDonna P. “Donna”  Stephens age 85 of Prairie du Chien and formerly of Platteville passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Southwest Health Center in Platteville, following a brief illness. She was born August 5, 1932 the daughter of Herman and Helen (Hampton) Dresen. She married Gordon Stephens on June 12, 1950 at St. Mary’s Church in Platteville. He preceded her in death on March25, 2008.  She loved her family and is survived by her sons; Larry and Cindy Stephens of Hartford, WI and Michael Stephens and Sandra and Jason Plaga of Verona, WI, a daughter Karla (Gary) Dean of Potosi, WI,  granddaughters Kayla (Tyler) Harris and Staci (Jason Kleist) Dean, great grandchildren, Alexis, Maci and Tenley Harris, a brother Dennis (Lori) Dresen of Mineral Point, WI, sisters, Dorothy Koeller and Elaine (Jerry) Uppena both of Potosi, WI and a brother in law Walter Butson of Mazomanie, WI.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother Laverne Dresen, a sister Arlene Butson and an infant sister.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 10:30 AM at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church of the Holy Family Parish with inurnment in the Calvary Cemetery both in Prairie du Chien, WI.  Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the time of service.
