Richard "Dick" Fernette Obituary

Richard J. "Dick" Fernette age 56 of Prairie du Chien passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Crossing Rivers Health in Prairie du Chien, WI following a courageous and heroic 10 year battle with cancer. Dick was born May 16, 1962 and raised in Prairie du Chien, the son of Dick and Marie Fernette. He graduated from Prairie du Chien High School and remained in the area where he worked and established strong relationships at DH Satellite, River Town Iron Works, and The Department of Corrections in Boscobel and Prairie du Chien. Dick was an avid Packer fan and had a passion for the outdoors. He loved to hunt, fish, and help his good friend Dave Huser on his farm. However Dick's greatest love was for his son and best friend, Brady.

Dick is survived by his son Brady of Lacrosse, WI; his one brother Tom (Joan) Fernette of Anchorage, Alaska; six sisters including Teresa (Ken) Hubbard of Madison, WI; Kathy (Jim) Taylor of Rochester, MN; Patty Fernette, LeeAnn O'Brien, Lorrie (Dave) Hubbard, and Cindy Kaber all of Prairie du Chien, WI; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Dick and Marie Fernette.

Per Dick's request, there will be no visitation. There will be a private inurnment at a later date. Memorials may be made in Dick’s name and sent to; 130 Steiner Terrace, Prairie du Chien, WI, 53821.
