Sandra L. (Phero) Lessard

Prairie Du Chien

 Sandra L Lessard, a long time Prairie du Chien resident, passed away peacefully at home Friday, July 26, 2019 with her loved ones by her side. Born on July 4 of 1944 (Our Little Firecracker) in San Francisco, Ca. Sandra graduated from Balboa High School.

Sandra married Patrick Lessard in October 10 of 1969 and had many beautiful years together. Living in California raising their four children for half of their marriage and then moving to Prairie Du Chien where her husband’s family resided. She was a amazing and compassionate woman with the kindest spirit. She had a beautiful smile that warmed you as soon as you met her. She had a very artistic side to her as she enjoyed doing ceramics, painting, quilting and making beautiful chocolates. She loved baking and zucchini bread was just one of her family’s favorites. She was an animal lover. If there was a dog in need Sandy was always there to rescue it. Her children loved that about her as they always had pets in their home. She and her husband were annual supporters of the SPCA and Veterans Affairs. She was also known to her children’s friends as a second Mom. She had an open door policy to any who needed someone to talk with and even took a few in when they needed it. She was a woman who had a heart of Gold and a beautiful soul.

Sandra is survived by her husband Patrick Lessard. Her Children Charles Lafave, John LaFave (wife Tiffany), Donna LaFave and Helen Pimental (husband Steve). She has 12 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. Which have been truly blessed to have had her in their lives. She will be truly missed by us all.

According to Sandra’s wishes, no formal funeral services are planned.  The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien is assisting the family.
