Adam L. Trautsch, age 46 of Eastman, WI passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 30, 2025, in Eastman. He was born on April 4, 1979, to Edward “Bud” and Faye (Work) Trautsch. He attended Seneca High School before graduating from Prairie du Chien High School with the class of 1997. While at Seneca, he met the love of his life Rita Wallin. They were later married on June 2, 2001, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Prairie du Chien. He worked with livestock as a hoof trimmer for many years and later worked at Johnson’s One Stop in Seneca, WI. Most recently, Adam and Rita owned and operated Special T’s Restaurant in Eastman, WI. Adam was a pillar of the community in so many ways including his 23 years of service on the Eastman Fire Department, where he was Eastman’s Fire Chief from 2007 to 2017. Additionally, he played a large role in the Eastman Community Club, especially when helping with benefits. He loved helping others, cooking, bantering with others, woodworking, and was a talented artist. He is survived by his wife of 24 years Rita; children Kerrigan (Andrew Sherman) Trautsch and Landon (Sarah Dalton) Trautsch; mother Faye Trautsch; siblings Dean (Dana) Trautsch, Kerry (Kenny) Rathbun, Ember (Bert Walters) Martin, Heather (John) Luster, Heidi (Randy) Dalton, Chad (Tiffany) Trautsch, Chris (Christina) Trautsch, and Judi (Devin) Markin; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Bud Trautsch.
A Memorial Service will be Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at the Prairie du Chien High School Performing Arts Center in Prairie du Chien, with private inurnment at a later date. Friends may call at the Garrity Funeral Home on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and also at the school on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
