Obituary

Alan Palmer, age 56 of Boscobel, WI passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, WI. He was born in Ottumwa, IA on September 23, 1966, the son of Dean and Evelyn (Rhodes) Palmer. Alan graduated from Ottumwa High School with the class of 1985 before serving in the U.S. Army the following two years. He then attended Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa where he achieved his associate degree in robotics and electronics. He worked at Building Automation Products, Inc. in Gays Mills for many years. Alan married Martha Mezera on July 2, 1994, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Prairie du Chien. In his free time, Alan enjoyed fishing and riding motorcycles. He is survived by his wife of 29 years Martha; his mother Evelyn Palmer; His 3 brothers Terry, Mike, and Danny Palmer; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Dean.

According to Alan’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral services. A Celebration of Alan’s Life will be held on September 3, 2023 from 1 to 4 p.m. at 27581 US Highway 61 Boscobel, WI 53805.
