Anna Mae (Wilkinson) Steffensmeier

Anna M. Steffensmeier age 87of Prairie du Chien passed away Monday, September 10, 2018 at the Gundersen Health System of LaCrosse, WI.  She was born May 27, 1931 in Patch Grove, WI the daughter of Alonzo and Ivanelle (Taylor) Wilkinson.  She married Cletus Steffensmeier on August 27, 1960 at St. John’s Church in Patch Grove.  Together they farmed most of their lives in the Patch Grove area before retiring in Prairie du Chien in 1988.  Cletus preceded her in death on March 19, 2011.  She is survived by her son Mark (Stephanie) of Bloomington WI, her daughters, Mary Steffensmeier of Waterloo, IA and Diann (Bruce) Reilly of DeForest, WI, her brother Lyle Wilkinson of Prairie du Chien, her grandchildren, Daniel, Ashley, Becky, Kyle and Cassidy along with her great grandchildren, Logan, Reece and Camden.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters in law Helen Wilkinson and Marcella Eike.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, September 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Gabriel’s Church of the Holy Family Parish, Rev. James Weighner officiating with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery both in Prairie du Chien.  Friends may call on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien where there will be an Eagles Club Tribute at 7:00 PM and a wake scripture at 7:30 PM.  Friends may also call at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of departure for church.
