Anna Theresa (Bouzek) Tippery

Anna T. Tippery, age 89 of Prairie du Chien passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Prairie Maison in Prairie du Chien. She was born in Prairie du Chien on June 4, 1934, the daughter of George and Natalie (White) Bouzek. She grew up in Prairie du Chien and later met Gerald Tippery. Anna and Gerald were married on February 13, 1954. She worked at Dunbar’s Café and Winter’s Market, both in Prairie du Chien before retiring to spend time with her grandchildren. Anna enjoyed reading, playing bingo, and practicing needlepoint. She also enjoyed card and board games. Anna’s husband Gerald preceded her in death on November 8, 2013. She is survived by her 3 sons Bill (Andrea), Jerry (Phyllis), and Fritz (Wanda) Tippery and one daughter Cindy Bender; her brother Phil (Marilyn) Bouzek and sister Marilee (Ed) Millin; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her children James and John Tippery and Sheila Hackett, and her siblings Albert, Edwin, Virginia, and Fritz Bouzek.

Funeral Services will be Monday, August 7, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, August 6, 2023, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and also at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
