Arlene J. (Shea) Willms

Arlene J. Willms, 91, of Greendale formerly of Prairie du Chien, WI, died peacefully on Friday, August 11, 2023, at Harbor Village. She was born on July 25, 1932, to the late Joseph and Clara (Malek) Shea in South Milwaukee.  Arlene Shea was united in marriage to Robert Willms on November 5, 1955, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Bridgeton, New Jersey. She worked as a Registered Nurse. She took joy in square dancing, bowling, volunteering, and spending time with her pets. Arlene was a master gardener, a great conversationalist and an avid reader.

Arlene is survived by her loving children Dale (Carol) Willms, Gloria (Larry) Seeley, Sue (Wayne) Schroeder and Margie (Robert) Bugenhagen, she was a proud grandmother to Janell Fox, Rebecca (Shawn) Angle, Sarah Bratkowski, Scott Bugenhagen and Eric (Andrea) Bugenhagen, and a devoted great-grandmother to Parker Bratkowski, Charleigh Bratkowski and Chloe Bugenhagen as well as nieces, nephews and other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert and her siblings.

Visitation at the MAX A. SASS & SONS MISSION HILLS CHAPEL on Wednesday August 23, 2023, from 12:00 Noon until the time of services at 2:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, August 25, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Gabriel’s Church of the Holy Family Parish with burial in the Calvary Cemetery both in Prairie du Chien, WI. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Arlene’s name to a charity of your choice.
