Aurilla Anne Koresh

Aurilla A. Koresh, age 77 of Prairie du Chien passed away Sunday, September 22, 2024, at home surrounded by her family. She was born June 1, 1947, to Vernon and Justina (Phillip) Koresh. She grew up in Prairie du Chien and graduated from St. Mary’s Academy with the class of 1966. She then attended cosmetology school in Madison, WI for two years before moving back to Prairie du Chien. She worked for many years as a hairdresser at the House of Beauty, currently known as Red’s House of Hair in Prairie du Chien. Rilla was always known for her friendly personality, especially while working at her brother’s store, Eunice’s Liquor and Cheese, and when selling her Princess House and Lady Remington. She was a member of the Friends of the Villa and enjoyed spending time at the Villa Louis in Prairie du Chien. She enjoyed traveling and boat cruise trips, as well as attending plays, games, and other performances with friends and family. She also enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, and riding her tractor doing lawn work. Rilla loved her nieces and nephews and cherished her time with them. She is survived by 2 brothers Brian (Sue) and Todd (Deanna) Koresh; nephews Frank (Tasha) and Jake (Kari) Koresh; nieces Sara (Holden) Stuckey, and Peggy and Sadie Koresh; and 6 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. at St. John’s Church of the Holy Family Parish, Fr. Brandon Guenther officiating with burial in the Calvary Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien. Friends may call at the Garrity Funeral Home on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. where there will be a rosary at 6:45 P.M.
