Bart M. Schmitz

Bart Michael Schmitz, age 56, was born on December 4, 1968. He passed away unexpectedly on October 7, 2025. Bart attended Highland High School. Bart married Cindy Little on October 29, 1994. Bart enjoyed family time, golfing, video games, a passion for art and drawing and all things Marvel. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Kenric and Rita Schmitz. He is survived by his wife Cindy, his children Chelsi (Brent), Samantha (Mitch), and Maveric (Shelby), his grandchildren Emma, Ireland, Declan, Ensleigh, Elden, and Beauregard and brother Bret Schmitz. He worked at Cabela’s Bass Pro in Prairie du Chien as a Design Specialist for 23 years.

A Memorial Visitation will be Friday, October 17, 2025, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel in Prairie du Chien. Interment will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. in the St. Anthony Cemetery in Highland, WI.
