Carl Kasparek Obituary

Carl J. Kasparek, age 79 of Prairie du Chien passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Crossing Rivers Health.  He was born October 6, 1940, in Wyalusing, WI the son of Frank and Nina (Clark) Kasparek.  Carl farmed, worked for the State of Wisconsin for 5 years, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office for 38 years, and retired from the 3M Company after 25 years.  He enjoyed gambling, hunting, and riding his 4 wheeler on his farm in Bagley.  He was a member of St. John’s Church of the Holy Family Parish, the Knights of Columbus, and the Eagles Club Aerie 1502 in Prairie du Chien.  He is survived by his brother Russell Kasparek, his sisters Barbara (Clifford) Stram, Marie Lilo, Shirley Bruckner, and Frances (Scott) Gilbert, along with numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 10:30 AM at St. John’s Church of the Holy Family Parish, Msgr. Charles Stoetzel officiating, with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery both in Prairie du Chien, WI.  Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of the Mass. The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien is assisting the family.
