Carol Ann (Reisner) Ladeburg

Carol Ann (Reisner) Ladeburg, age 80 of Prairie Du Chien, WI, formerly of Oelwein, passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.

She was born on June 30, 1942 in Oelwein, the daughter of Eugene Warren and Dorothy (Heid) Reisner. She grew up in Oelwein and graduated from Sacred Heart School. Later she graduated from Mercy College in Cedar Rapids.

Carol married Arthur Ladeburg on June 3, 1962. In this marriage they welcomed three kids. Tim, Deborah and Damien.

Carol was employed by Mercy Hospital Oelwein in the pediatric unit, then she worked at Amoco Foam, also known as Gulf States & Triangle Plastics in Oelwein. She was also a receptionist at Goodwill in Oelwein and later in the Goodwill Retail Store until she retired.

Carol and Art moved to Prairie Du Chien in 2015 where they enjoyed spending time at their cabin on the Ambrough.

Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed happy hour at Lakeview with family & friends. She loved reading novels, her two hour lunches at Red Lobster with her daughter and sitting by a bonfire at their cabin.

She is survived by her husband Art of 60 years. Their children Tim Ladeburg of Oelwein, Deb (Jody) Meyen of Dundee and Damien Ladeburg of Oelwein. Her grandchildren Jennifer (Mike) Gilbertson of South Dakota, Courtney (Alexander) Soto of Oregon, Elizabeth (Andrew) Fear of Muscatine, Brody (Sarah) Meyen of Dundee, Ivan & Stella Ladeburg of Oelwein. Great Grandchildren Kate & Jack Gilbertson, Lincoln Fear and Maddox Meyen. Her sister Paulette McLaury of Hazelton, Sisters-in-law Janet Polk of Oelwein and Kathy Reisner of Potosi, WI.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Dorothy and her brother Leo Reisner.

A family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
