Chad Thomas Pederson, age 40 , of Prairie du Chien passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 28, 2022.
He was born on December 19, 1981, the son of Kerry (Dave Hipenbecker) and Gary Pederson. Chad was
born in Madison and relocated to Prairie du Chien as a child with his mother and younger brother. Chad
graduated from Prairie du Chien High School and attended the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Chad
married Erin Ray on August 18, 2011. If you ask Chad, his biggest accomplishment was being a father.
Chad loved sports, especially college basketball and the Milwaukee Bucks. He worked as Vice President
of MotoRaceTire for 4 years in Prairie du Chien. He spent his free time watching various sports, golfing,
cooking, grilling, reading, and UTV riding. Chad loved music, traveling, trivia, history, and spending time
with friends and family. Chad always had a smile on his face and a laugh to share with anyone he met.
He was known for his quick wit and love of a great joke.
To Chad, his family was his world and they meant everything to him. He is survived by his wife of 10
years. Erin; their children Carter Pederson and Max Clanton; his parents Kerry and Dave Hipenbecker
and Gary (Denise) Pederson; his siblings Kevin (Tallie) Pederson, Matt and Bailey Hipenbecker, Madeline
(Jason) Dull, and Alissa (Tyler) Lange; his maternal grandmother Sally White; parents-in-law Sue (Bob)
Plomedahl and Alan Ray; nieces Ella Lange, Ella Pederson, Emma Pederson, and Harper Dull; nephews
Jack Lange and Quinton Dull, his devoted German Shepherds Dash and Denali, and numerous special
aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Tom White, paternal
grandparents Randy and Donna Pederson, and his beloved shepherd Izzy.
A Celebration of Chad’s Life will be Friday, June 3, 2022, from 4-8 at the Prairie du Chien Country Club.
