Clifford L. Stram, age 89 of Prairie du Chien passed away peacefully Monday, April 25, 2022. He was born November 4, 1932, the son of Leo and Birdie (Koecke) Stram. He lived his life in Prairie du Chien. He was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After his service, he worked at National Decorated Metals Company. Clifford married Barbara Kasparek on June 22, 1957, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Patch Grove, WI. He worked for the 3M Company until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, boating on the Mississippi and hunting ginseng. He also loved camping and traveling the country with his family. He had a great respect and love for nature. Cliff loved his family and always provided for them. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Barbara; their children Carolyn (Jim) Crowley, Linda (Tom) McCullick, and Christine (Scott) Kainz; his brother Gerald Stram; 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter Debra Jean, his grandson Greg McCullick, his twin brother Clement, and sister Geraldine.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, April 29, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Gabriel’s Church of the Holy Family Parish, Msgr. Charles Stoetzel officiating with burial in the Calvary Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. Military honors will be accorded by the Prairie du Chien Honor Guard.
