Cynthia M. “Mona” Geisler, age 65 of Wauzeka, WI passed away Friday, February 17, 2023 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Prairie du Chien on May 25, 1957, the daughter of Edward and Patricia (Foley) Mezera. She graduated from Wauzeka High School with the class of 1975. Cynthia was united in marriage with Terry Geisler on September 25, 1976 and to this union, three children were born. They later divorced and she met the love of her life for 25 years Tom “Yogi” Erickson until he preceded her in death on April 1, 2020. She worked at Monona Wire for many years as well as Bullwinkle’s and Sportmen’s Lounge with Yogi until their passing. She also worked at Two Rivers Bar & Grill with her longtime neighbor and friend Carol DuCharme. She enjoyed celebrating August birthdays in the kitchen with her soup kettle. She also enjoyed traveling and vacationing with Yogi and friends. She and Yogi would sponsor pool tournaments and put on fireworks shows for a couple years with lots of fun and food. Mona hosted many graduation parties in the backyard for her family and loved to host family birthday parties and holidays. She loved to do puzzle books, birdwatching and feeding, playing cards, especially 7-up and getting the upper hand on her brothers and nieces. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, cousin niece, and friend. She is survived by her children Amy (Joe) Mason, Scott (Frannie) Geisler, and Brian (Sarah Jo) Geisler; her siblings Becky Martin and Tom and Bernie Mezera; her grandchildren Hunter (Becca) Roberts, Cassidy (Zach) Ready, Hogan, and Brooklyn Roberts, Ray, Emmett, and Camran Geisler, and Alexius and Andrew Geisler; her great-grandchildren Ashlynn and Buckley with baby Roberts on the way; numerous nieces and nephews and her two dogs Scruffy and Snoball and three cats Bernie, Tom-Tom, and Drifter. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers-in-law Jerry Walz, Dennis Bassett, and Steve Martin, nephews Tony and Frankie Walz, nieces Sarah and Charlotte Walz, and in-laws Raymond and Laura Geisler.
A Memorial Visitation will be Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M at Century Hall with burial to follow in the Wauzeka Cemetery, both in Wauzeka, WI.
