David Allen Hampton

David A. Hampton, age 71 of Prairie du Chien, formerly of Patch Grove, WI, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023, at St. Dominic Villa in Hazel Green, WI. He was born in Lancaster, WI on May 27, 1952, the son of James and Florence (Oates) Hampton. He grew up on the family farm in Bagley and graduated from West Grant High School with the class of 1971. He then went to vocational school in Fennimore, WI where he obtained an associate degree in agricultural mechanics. Following school, David worked different jobs including Rapid Die & Mold Company in Cassville, WI and as a DJ for various local events. He owned his own DJ business which was known as “Fantastic Rhythms”. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and spending time with family. He is survived by 2 sisters Kathy (Mike) Mumm and Bonnie (Stan) Harris; Uncle Russ Hampton and Aunt Sheri Hampton; and 5 nieces and nephews Laura (Steve) Connelly, Fred (Rachel) Mumm, Ben (Veronica) Mumm, Kyle (Brie) Harris, and Evan (Taylor) Harris. He was preceded in death by his parents and niece Cindy Mumm Morehouse.   

A Memorial Visitation will be Friday, December 22, 2023, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel in Prairie du Chien. Private inurnment will be held at a later date in the Hillside Cemetery in Lancaster, WI.
