Eulogio “Leo” V. Almorato, age 82, of Bloomington passed away Tuesday February 1, 2022, surrounded by family at his home. He was born on March 11, 1939, in Palompon Leyte, Philippines the son of Sotero and Necolasa (Villotes) Almoroto. He graduated high school in Palompon Leyte and took vocational courses in Manila both in the Philippines. Eulogio married Ereo Paquita Basig who later preceded him in death on July 13, 1990, in the Philippines. Eulogio was a loving, caring, thrifty, meticulous, innovative, and a hard-working person who cared about the health and well-being of his family and close friends. He was a great handyman and gardener, as well as a wood and tree cutter. Family referred to him as “MacGyver”. Some of his great achievements were raising his family, rebuilding the family home, and serving as a Veteran family and public transportation driver. Eulogio is survived by his children: Mona (Larry) Lyons, Alejandro (Verbina) Almorato, MA.Beatriz B. (Ismael H.) Del Mundo, Justina A. (Jayson) Pfefferkorn, Dallia A. (James) Decker, step children Moisesa B. Rosano and Onederfull Rosano, 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, siblings, Elena A. Galvez, Rosalia A. Bural, Prosesa A. Bernales, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a son Noelson B. Almorato, his siblings Julia A. Haveria, Trinidad A. Palisoc, Lucrecia A. Asis, Ben Almoroto, Elunoro Almorato.
Funeral Services will be Monday, February 7, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at the Cornerstone Foursquare Church in Prairie du Chien, WI, with Pastor Mel Wild officiating, burial in the Burns Cemetery in Beetown township. Friends may call the church on Monday, February 7, 2022, from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien, WI is assisting the family.
