Evelyn “Whiz” M. Redman, age 86, of Patch Grove, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021 at Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Fennimore, WI. She was born on August 17, 1935 in Prairie du Chien, WI the daughter of James and Clara (Taylor) Quick. She married Phil Redman on January 26, 1955 at the United Methodist Church in Patch Grove. She worked many years in the Prairie du Chien area. Evelyn loved to dance, ride horses, and enjoyed all animals. She was a great cook. Evelyn took great pride in being the President of the Brodtville School Restoration Project. Most of all, she loved her family. She is survived by her husband of 66 years Phil, her children: Terri (Mike) Wood, Tim (Terri Jo), Mick (Sue), Dixie Toberman, and Shawn (Shelly Slama), 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Leland and infant James Quick, and her sister Rosemary Thornton.
Funeral Services will be Friday, December 3, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel, Prairie du Chien, WI, with Pastor Mark Hoehne officiating. Interment will be in the Union Nagle Cemetery, Patch Grove, WI. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and also one hour prior to services on Friday.
