Gerald A. Steele

Gerald A. Steele, age 71 of Farmersburg, IA, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025, at MercyOne Elkader Medical Center in Elkader, IA. He was born on September 24, 1954, to Irvin and Kathryn (Sivage) Steele. Gerald married Sandra Carlson on October 7, 1972, in Prairie du Chien, WI. He served as Deputy Sheriff of Crawford County, WI for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed buying and restoring Victrola record players and driving his Ford Model T. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Sandra; children Johnathon and Christine Steele; and sisters Judith (Dean) Ashbacher and Barbara Rink. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Thomas Rink.  

According to Gerald’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral services at this time.
