Goldie June Champion

Goldie J. Champion, age 88 of Prairie du Chien, WI passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Fennimore, WI on June 29, 1934. Goldie moved with her family to Faribault, MN where she graduated from high school. She then moved to Rochester, MN before eventually returning to southwest Wisconsin. Goldie married Marvin Champion on June 23, 1962 at the United Methodist Church in Bagley, WI. Together, they raised their family in Prairie du Chien. Goldie worked for American Family Insurance before solely caring for her home and family. She enjoyed baking, sewing, garden tractor pulling, and traveling the country with her family. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Marvin; their son Brian Champion; 2 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Karen Champion, and her siblings.

According to Goldie’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral services.
