Ivan H. Hoffland

Ivan H. Hoffland, age 88 of Prairie du Chien passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 3, 1937, to Orville and Clara (Kruel) Hoffland. Ivan served in the U.S. Marine Corp for several years before returning home to serve as a police officer in the Madison, WI area. Ivan married Mary Rae on December 17, 1960, in Fennimore, WI. He later worked for American Family Insurance in Prairie du Chien for many years until retirement. Ivan was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time on the Mississippi and Wisconsin Rivers. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary; children Darci, Phil (Phil Metz), and Heidi (Amy Walker) Hoffland; 2 brothers Johnny and Robert (Carol) Hoffland and 2 sisters Marilyn (John) Klingele and Betty Puryear; grandchildren Chris (Felicia) Halverson and Caitlin (Wyatt) Wall; great grandchildren Cole, Hayden, and London; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

According to Ivan’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral services at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
