James P. “Hogie” Hogenson

Prairie du Chien, WI

James P. "Hogie" Hogenson age 73 passed away Tuesday November 4, 2025 at Gundersen Healthcare in LaCrosse, WI.  He was born October 3, 1952 in Mineral Wells, TX the son of Willis “Tom” and Irmgard (Reissner) Hogenson.  Jim was an accomplished high school athlete and a graduate of Prairie du Chien High School. He married Coletta McLimans in 1990 and they later divorced.  Jim worked as an over-the-road truck driver delivering produce throughout the United States. He enjoyed refereeing high school basketball, fishing and spending time on the Mississippi River with his family.

He is survived by his children, Zachary and Alicia Hogenson, his brother Mike (Michelle) Hogenson, his sister Linda Sweeney along with his former wife Coletta McLimans.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
