Jeffery Allen Rentschler

Jeffery A. Rentschler age 65 of McGregor passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Crossing Rivers Healthcare in Prairie du Chien following an extended illness.  He was born October 23, 1957, in Prairie du Chien, WI the son of Logan and Karen (Possehl) Rentschler. He married Cathie Walker on February 14, 2007 in Prairie du Chien.  Jeffery worked in Texas, Colorado and Arizona before returning to this area. Most recently he was employed at Cabelas in Prairie du Chien until his retirement in 2019.  Jeffery enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid bow hunter.

He is survived by his wife Cathie, his children, Kelly Jo (James Stoltenberg) Rentschler, Logan (Katy) Rentschler, stepson, Doug (Brittany) Penfield, his father Logan Rentschler, his siblings, Kris (Myron) Phelps, Kim (Dan) Tarpy and Scott (Becci) Rentschler along with five grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his mother Karen.

A Celebration of Jeffery’s Life is being planned for a future date.
